Summer 2008 Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO RESIDE IN AND ARE PHYSICALLY LOCATED IN THE U.S. (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO AND OTHER U.S. TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS), AND WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY. Void in Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited. Sweepstakes begins May 27, 2008 at 12:01 a.m. Central Time ("CT") and ends on September 3, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. CT (the "Sweepstakes Period"). This sweepstakes is sponsored by Select Comfort Retail Corporation ("Sponsor").

1. ELIGIBILITY: Employees of Sponsor, Marketing Drive LLC, and their respective parents, divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies; and their immediate family members (parent, child, sibling, spouse and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and the household members of each, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or to win the sweepstakes.
2. HOW TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Period, there are two (2) ways to enter the sweepstakes: (1) ENTER AT A PARTICIPATING SELECT COMFORT® STORE: Complete the official entry form found in participating Select Comfort® stores, while supplies last, or hand print your name, address (no P.O. boxes), city, state, ZIP code, e-mail address (if available), daytime phone number (including area code), and date of birth on a 3" x 5" card and deposit in the sweepstakes entry box on or before close of business to be eligible for that day's drawing. Limit of one (1) in-store entry per person per sweepstakes period In-store entries received from the same person after the first in-store entry received from that person will be void. Non-winning entries received for one drawing will not roll over into subsequent drawings. (2) ENTER ONLINE: Go to www.sleepnumber.com and follow the directions provided to fully complete and submit the entry form. Online entries must be received by 11:59 pm CT to be eligible for that day's drawing. Receipt of an internet entry occurs when Sponsor's servers record the entry information resulting from the entrant clicking the "Send" button. Limit one (1) online entry per person per email address. Online entries received from the same person or email address after the first online entry received from that person or email address will be void. Online entries will qualify for the drawing of the day they were received by Sponsor. Non-winning entries received for one day's drawing will not roll over into subsequent drawings. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated or mechanical means will be void. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, misdirected, damaged, illegible, incomplete, undeliverable, garbled or delayed entries or for lost or stolen entry boxes, all of which will be void. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
3. DRAWING: Once a week, seven (7) separate drawings, with the exception of the last week, two (2) separate drawings will be conducted during the Sweepstakes Period and each drawing will randomly select one (1) potential winner for each day from all eligible entries received on that day in compliance with these Official Rules by Marketing Drive, LLC (the "Official Judging Agency"). Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received for the applicable drawing. The potential winners will be notified by mail, telephone, or private delivery service (at Sponsor's sole discretion), within ten (10) days of the date of the drawing, at the address or telephone number indicated on their entry forms. Potential winners will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release (except where prohibited) to be returned within fourteen (14) days of the date printed on winner's notification letter or the prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor's sole discretion, an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries received for the applicable drawing. If prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, a potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules or Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor's sole discretion, an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries received for the applicable drawing.
4. PRIZES: One Hundred (100) Grand Prizes (one (1) per day): Each winner will receive a Queen Sleep Number® 3000 bed set with Firmness Control™ system, awarded as a certificate ("Prize Certificate") to be redeemed at a Select Comfort® store prior to November 11, 2008. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") $1,200 each. Total ARV of all prizes: $120,000. Prize Certificates are subject to and must be redeemed in accordance with certain terms and conditions printed on the Prize Certificate as specified by Select Comfort. Additional restrictions, limitations and exclusions may apply. If a winner is at least 18 but still considered a minor in his/her state of residence, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian, who will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Prizes are not transferable. Winners must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all such requirements. No cash redemptions or prize substitutions will be allowed except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. All federal, state and local taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being awarded are the sole responsibility of the winners. All prize details are at Sponsor's sole discretion.
5. GENERAL CONDITIONS/DISCLAIMER: By entering this sweepstakes, participants: (a) agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and the Official Judging Agency, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the sweepstakes; (b) agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and Marketing Drive, LLC, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, suppliers, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies; and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any injuries, claims, damages, or losses of any kind that arise directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from acceptance or use/misuse of a prize or from participation in the sweepstakes; and (c) by accepting a prize, each winner agrees that the Sponsor and its designees may use winner's name, picture/portrait, likeness and/or voice for advertising, trade and promotional purposes worldwide in perpetuity, in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, without permission, notification or additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Released Parties are not responsible or liable for: any condition that might cause the sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet or website users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server, cable, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability of cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures, difficulties or other errors or problems of any kind whether technical, mechanical, electronic, network, printing, typographical, computer, human or otherwise relating to or in connection with the sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the sweepstakes, the processing of the entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any sweepstakes-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of website. The Sponsor and its Official Judging Agency reserve the right, disqualify any participant (and void all associated entries), at their sole discretion, if such participant is not in compliance with these Official Rules, tampers with the entry process or the operation of the sweepstakes or any website associated therewith or acts: (a) in a manner they determine to be not fair or equitable; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten, or harass any other participant or the Sponsor; or (c) in any other disruptive manner. Sponsor is not responsible for prize utility or quality. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this sweepstakes (or portion thereof) and, if cancelled, award the prize for the drawing(s) at issue from among all eligible non-suspect entries received for the applicable drawing(s) prior to action taken, should fraud, virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the sweepstakes (or any portion thereof). In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an online participant, such entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry and he/she must comply with these Official Rules. "Authorized account holder" is deemed as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other online organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A SWEEPSTAKES PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR AND ITS DESIGNEES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
6. PRIVACY: Information participants provide to Sponsor may be used to communicate with participants in relation to this sweepstakes as well as to contact participants regarding products, promotions and other purposes as described in the Sponsor's Privacy Policy available at www.sleepnumber.com.
7. CHOICE OF LAW: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor in connection with this Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to Minnesota conflict of law principles.
8. NAME REMOVAL NOTIFICATION SYSTEM: To have your name and address removed from the Select Comfortr sweepstakes/contest mailing list, send a written request to: Select Comfort, 9800 59th Avenue N., Minneapolis, MN 55442. Be sure to include in the request your full name and address and specifically indicate that you wish to be removed from the mailing list. Your request will be processed within sixty (60) days of date of receipt, after which time no further sweepstakes/contest mailings will be sent to you.
9. WINNER'S NAME/RULES REQUESTS: You may obtain the winners' list (available after October 31, 2008) by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope by October 31, 2008, to: Select Comfort "Summer 2008" Sweepstakes Winner's Name Request, P.O. Box 282, Wilton, CT 06897-0282. Official Rules will be available at participating Select Comfortr stores during the Sweepstakes Period, or you may obtain a copy of the Official Rules by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope by August 31, 2008 to: Select Comfort "Summer 2008" Sweepstakes Rules Request, P.O. Box 282, Wilton, CT 06897-0282 or access www.sleepnumber.com for Official Rules. VT residents may omit return postage for rules requests.
