Q:  Why is a Sleep Number® Bed Foundation highly recommended over a box spring?

A:  Unlike a traditional box spring with metal coils and springs that tend to sag and break down over time, the Sleep Number® Bed Foundation provides consistent support beneath the entire mattress.

Q:  Will my bed deflate if the power goes out?

A:  No. Your mattress will maintain its firmness, even if power is interrupted. But to protect your Firmness Control™ System from power surges resulting from thunderstorms or power outages, we recommend using a surge protector.

Q:  Can I get foundation legs with any bed model or size?

A:  The foundation legs will fit onto any new Sleep Number® bed foundation.

Q:  How big are the foundation legs and how much do they weigh?

A:  Each leg measures about 14 x 3 x 2 and weighs only .75 pounds. A set of 6 legs weighs about 5 pounds and a set of 12 legs weighs approximately 9 pounds.

Q:  What are foundation legs made of ?

A:  Foundation legs are made of the same high-tech polymer as our foundation. This material is extremely strong and durable.

Q:   What if I have an old bed model, will foundation legs still fit?

A:  The legs are custom designed to work with our current foundation design. Because of the unique shape and construction, they will only work on this style foundation.
