Title: Six Sigma Black Belt - Product Quality Apply Online
Description:
As a Six-Sigma Black Belt with Select Comfort, you will demonstrate mastery of continuous improvement principles in a customer oriented, results based environment. The position requires a skillful application of Six Sigma problem solving methodologies, introducing new concepts, project management, team dynamics and process monitoring. In conjunction with the Master Black Belts and Quality Champions, serve as a change agent in building and institutionalizing Six Sigma Quality. Additionally, this role will work cross functionally to focus on continuous improvement and the elimination of waste through the use of six sigma tools.
Major Responsibilities Include:

Manage a department of engineers and technical staff. Oversee all aspects of product and process design managing the work plans for assigned projects from concept through development to product launch.

Develop engineering processes, best practices and test programs that ensure all products meet the appropriate safety, reliability and performance standards.
-
Ensure engineering systems used are best possible to guarantee product integrity and reliability.
-
Provide technical expertise to the organization and engineering staff to execute design and manufacture of product.
-
Assures all product meets compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards (ISO, UL, etc.).
-
Drive innovation and a focus on new products for the company.
-
Ensure that key project deliverables and schedules are met in a timely basis. Conduct design reviews to insure product design is aligned with overall program objectives. Conduct major project reviews with senior and executive level management.

Manage and maintain all engineering product documentation including CAD drawings, bill of materials, labels, etc.
-
Provide training to direct reports as required to enhance departmental performance.
-
Includes regular coaching and counseling to direct reports on all aspects of job responsibilities.

Manage the overall patent portfolio including existing patents, external submissions and competitive patents.
Requirements:
-
4-5+ years in a Six Sigma Black Belt role.
-
Black belt certified with at least three completed projects and 2 years of six sigma experience in product quality.
-
Experience in Materials Management, planning/logistics/manufacturing or production is desirable.
-
Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation, training, team facilitation, and interpersonal capability, combined with an ability to work cross functionally and across all levels and divisions of the organization.

Ability to influence change.

Results oriented with the ability to bring teams together to achieve targets and goals.

Proficient in advanced quality methods, statistical problem-solving techniques, Six Sigma, and Lean analytical tools.

A history of being results driven and customer oriented.

Completion of BB training and exam.

Minitab analytical software knowledge.

Strong analytical skills.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Possesses strong project management skills.

Exposure to lean management.

Engineering Bachelor's Degree is required and advanced education is desirable.

Description:
This person will lead the technical execution of company strategy to include full life cycle product design and manufacturing management.
Major Responsibilities Include:

Team leadership of a diverse organizational team that includes engineering, manufacturing operations, finance, and materials management.

Demonstrated mastery of Six Sigma tools and methodologies through successful applications.

Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and communicate teams' progress to Champions, Business Leaders, and Master Black Belts.

Educate, coach, and mentor Green Belts and others on Six Sigma philosophy and application.

Title: Project Engineer Apply Online
Description:
This individual will be a key member in the execution of the company strategy in product development during all phases of the product lifecycle. Discover, test, and implement new technologies. Lead technical project teams, including integrated cross-function teams, in the execution of major technical programs.
Major Responsibilities Include:

Provide team leadership and project management for major technical projects and new product releases.

Understand and autonomously execute change management to include product and regulatory documentation.

Work with outside vendors to evaluate new materials or products for inclusion into current or future designs.
-
Discover new technologies and evaluate their effectiveness in Select’s system design.
-
Provide evaluation of design changes from engineering and cost perspectives.
-
Direct and perform engineering testing to ensure that newly designed items are properly tested. Ensures testing is completed on time and within budget.

Provide timely updates to cross-functional teams and senior level management.

Work with Quality Control, Operations and Manufacturing on drawings, BOM, change notices and tests.

Execute quality and six-sigma programs as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business, a plus.
