Title: IT Manager - Global Operations
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Application liaison between IS & the user community with solid expertise and a strong understanding of the specific application functions.
- Responsible for the analysis of business problems and is charged with the documentation and development of well-defined methods, procedures and programs in order to optimize the use functionality provided in the applications.
- Responsible for partnering with the business and documenting requirements.
- Responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance & interpretation of applications.
- Works closely with users on the development, training & usage of the applications.
- Communicates with the 3rd party application support on all bugs or issues called in, including follow-up.
- Interpret new functionality within a new release of application with usert & IS.
- Manages the development of key, large business applications for core business processes.
- Provides solid leadership and management in enhancing and maintaining core application systems.
- Provides senior technical leadership with regard to the development of core application systems, and works closely with IS management team to insure the developed application integrates smoothly with existing systems.
- Develops and maintains detailed documentation of applications prior to development and following implementation of the application into productions status.
- Follows the development process through to completion, ensuring proper implementation and adoption by the application support team and end users.
- The IT manager will work with IS project teams and the business unit to help gather business requirements to aid in the design and development of software applications. Develops detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and data modeling.
- Understands business processes and current systems. Understands the needs of the business and recommends enhancements through the application of technologies, systems, and process changes to solve problems and enhance business processes.
- Provide functional expertise in multiple functional areas.
Requirements:
- Expertise in two or more of the following functional areas: Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, CRM, Order Management, Financials and HRMS.
- Extensive experience in Oracle 11i; Oracle R12 experience is desireable.
- Requires technical and management skills
- Development experience in Oracle Forms, Reports, SQL, PL/SQL and/or Workflow; Visual Basic, XML or Java desirable.
- Excellent PC skills

Title: Programmer Analyst
Description: Acts as a technical specialist in the design, development and support of technology solutions to support Select Comfort business processes.
Major Responsibilities Include:
Completes analysis and development tasks that deliver high quality systems on schedule, on budet, to the committed scope.
Works with Business Unit management and senior level IT resources to identify and document systems solution requirements.
Develop solutions that meet the stated requirements.
Develop solutions that are reliable and maintainable.
Develop solutions that are efficient.
Communicates task status, task issues and task concerns to application development team.
Works closely with others in the Application Development and Technical Support to ensure the developed application integrates smoothly with existing systems.
Writes detailed documentation of applications prior to development and following implementation of the application into production status.
Follows the development methodology, ensuring proper implementation and adoption by the application support team and end users.
Follows system and process strategies, defines projects, and negotiates project priorities and timelines with the line of business.

- Code, test, debug, and document more complex programs, and enhance existing programs to ensure that data processing production systems continue to meet user needs.
- Provides guidance and training to less-experienced programmers in order to improve productivity.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex production issues.
Requirements:
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in the IT industry

Title: Senior SQL Server Database Administrator
Description:
The Sr. Database Administrator maintains all enterprise databases to ensure integrity, performance, accessibility and recoverability of data. Conducts end-to-end plan design, controls production, and implements and monitors database systems. Primary focus for this individual will be for the support of the Microsoft SQL Server database environements.
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Provide leadership role in planning, design, implementation and documentation of Select Comfort's Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 environments. Develops database architectures that incorporate features on SQL Server.
- Develops maintenance and backup procedures, change control processes, and operational documentation.
- Assists application development teams in working with databases, planning and implementing production changes, and assisting with query optimization.
- Implements and performs capacity planning, performance monitoring and reporting processes.
- Performs ongoing performance tuning and optimization activities.
- Provide mentoring to other team members.
Requirements:
- Database administration principals and best practices.
- Must have 5+ years experience working with large SQL Server databases including Data Warehouses.
- Must have experience with replication and Data Transformation Services.
- Experience with SQL server version upgrades preferred, especially 2000 to 2005 ot 2008.
- Because Select Comfort is a multi-platform environment, experience with Oracle 9I and/or 10g database application administration would be a plus.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent required.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 certification desired, but not required.
- Must be a creative problem-solver, flexible and proactive.
